The subject of this article is wholly destitute of any thiug like comliness, but is a very general favourite and will probably always be highly esteemed, for its medicinal powers. The plant which gave name to the very extensive genus of which the Bone-set is a species, is the ivw^Up^f^ of Dioscorides, from Mithridates, sur-named Eupator, who is reputed to have brought the original plant into use as an antidote against poisons.
